Step 1 - Download and Install MetaMask

ℹ️ Information Only download MetaMask from the official website or verified browser extension stores.

• Visit the official website: https://metamask.io

• Click Get Started.

• Select your browser (Chrome, Firefox, Brave, or Edge).

• Click Add to <selected browser> Eg: Add to Chrome.

• Click Add extension and wait for it to Install the MetaMask extension.

Step 2 - Start Wallet Setup

• Click the MetaMask icon in your browser extensions bar.

• Choose Create a new Wallet.

• Select a method to continue (Continue with Google, Apple or Use Secret Recovery Phrase). NB: Since we’re creating a new wallet, select either to continue with Google or Apple.

Step 3 - Create a Password

ℹ️ Information This password only protects the wallet on the current device. It does not replace the recovery phrase.

• Create a strong password (minimum 8 characters).

• Confirm the password.

• Accept the terms and continue.

Step 4 - Backup Secret Recovery Phrase

⚠️ Warning Anyone with access to your Secret Recovery Phrase has full control over your wallet. MetaMask cannot recover this phrase for you.

• Reveal the Secret Recovery Phrase (12 words).

• Write the phrase down in the correct order.

• Store it securely offline.

• Confirm the phrase when prompted

Step 5 - Wallet Created

Once confirmed, the wallet setup is complete.

You will see:

• Your wallet dashboard

• Token balances (initially zero)

A public wallet address beginning with 0x

Step 6 - Get Your Receiving Address

• Click on Receive.

• Copy the address on the network you’re being sent tokens on.

✅ Success This address can be safely shared to receive funds.
