# How To Send Emails

*Create and send personalized messages either one-on-one or to groups.*

**a. Send a One-to-One Email**

*Manually send a personalized message to a single contact.*

1. Go to **Contacts**.

2. Search for and click the contact you want to email.

3. On the contact profile page, click **Send Email**.

4. Fill in the necessary details.

5. Click **Send**.

Note: This type of email is not part of a campaign and is logged in the contact's history but doesn't go through the email queue.

**b. Create and Send a One-to-Many Email (Segment Email)**

*Send the same email to a targeted group of contacts (segment).*

1. Go to **Channels > Emails**.

2. Click **New+** > **Segment Email**.

3. Select a template.

4. Use the builder to design your email.

5. In the **Details** tab, select the target Segment.

6. Optionally set a publish date/time to schedule.

7. Click **Send** or **Save & Close** to publish later.

Note: This type of email is queued and processed through scheduled cron jobs or send actions.

8. &#x20;Preview and Personalize

Use the **Preview** tab in the email builder.
