# How To Create & Assign Stages To Contacts

a. **How To Create Stages**

1. Go to **Stages** from the left menu.

2. Click **New+**.

3. Name the stage and provide a description (e.g., Test).

4. Optionally set a weight.

5. Click **Save & Close**.

**b. How To Assign a stage to a contact**

1. Go to Contacts.

2. Click on the contact that you want to assign the stage to.

3. Click on Edit

4. Scroll down the page and under the **Stage** field, select the appropriate stage (e.g., Test).

5. Click **Save & Close**.
